In a galaxy far, far away…
I’ll admit it – I’m a sucker for all things Star Wars (and when I say Star Wars, I mean the original trilogy, not George Lucas’ drunken, CGI-driven elephant stomp on my childhood that came later). I’m not as much of a sucker for minimalist art, but in this case, I’ll make an exception.
Now, if only someone had given Lucas a good dose of minimalist aesthetics before letting him loose on the prequels.
Andy Helms has re-interpreted movie posters for each of the original films. The prints are $15 for each, $40 for the set of 3.
Or at least, the prints were $15 for each, $40 for the set of 3, but because Helms has gotten so many orders on his Etsy site for the prints, he’s halted all sales until his Epson 3880 can catch up with the already huge number of orders he’s got now. Damn it. This is what happens when I go into “OMG I have to get this essay done because it’s due in 4 days and I’ve had months to work on it but procrastinated to the last minute and will exist on nothing but coffee and no sleep until it’s done!” mode (more on that later).
Oh well. Don’t expect me to tell you when the prints are back for sale. At least, not until I’ve gotten mine, first.
